About the Employer: Rainbow Homes Delhi is part of a nationwide network of 24/7 shelter and care homes for homeless children, run in cooperation with the State govt, Education dept and Child protection agencies. There are 3 homes for children aged 6 to 18 years (one home each for girls located at Kashmere Gate & Okhla; and one for boys located at Mehrauli) in Delhi, and 2 centers for young adults aged 18+years (both located at Old Deli), with a total of around 400 children under our direct care. OBJECTIVE: To implement a strong program in both girls’ homes with stringent quality control and a strict monitoring & compliance framework; while representing the organisation to external community members, and assisting in raising of funds and resources for the projects. 1) The Project In-charge (PI) is responsible for coordination, implementation and maintenance of a range of projects and activities in support of the annual plan for the home. 2) This role shall manage a portfolio of activities, budgets and personnel in support of programmatic strategic goals. 3) The PI may provide budget oversight and planning, financial analysis, financial reporting, and/or portfolio and operations process management. 4) This position will act as a primary support for grantee and vendor initiation, reporting and closure. 5) Additionally, the PI will serve as liaison across multiple internal teams and be responsible for special projects as requested. 6) Project Management: Coordinate the end-to-end project processes (e.g. managing key deliverable deadlines, monitoring & evaluation, legal compliance, staffing & HR, etc) with internal stakeholders (Project Team & Home Team) and external stakeholders (grantees and vendors) within the internal systems 7) Strategy support: Work on special team projects, strategic as well as operational, as needed, usually related to investment making or supporting the efficiency of RFI processes. 8) Identify areas for process improvement and make recommendations. Support State team for strategy reviews, strategic planning, learning sessions, all staff interactions etc. Setting Team Culture and Vision for Operational Excellence · Drive vision for operational excellence and plan effectively to meet that vision. Setting priorities and managing, directing and leading the vision and core culture of the team. · Establish systems for effective resource management. Additional Responsibilities: · Assist Senior Organisation Leaders with governance and legal matters · Establish and maintain high-level relationships with banking and auditing partners · Any such other related work as may be prescribed by Project Managers/Senior Leadership Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Social Work or a human services related field with three to five years of experience. Excellent organization skills and attention to detail, deadlines and policy compliance. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Proficient in MS Office Suite. Knowledge of budgeting, financial analysis and synthesis. Knowledge of applicable programmatic subject. Ability to work independently and as part of an integrated, diverse team and be comfortable in multiple, high varied settings, and tight deadlines with different work and learning styles. Ability to manage multiple and competing demands and establish priorities. SKILLS: - Ability to learn computer skills sufficient to perform all essential functions - Ability to work in a team environment - Awareness of socio-cultural characteristics of clients served - - Effective interpersonal skills - Experience with child abuse and/or neglect - Management skills - Ability to: o address interpersonal barriers and strengths in his/her staff o empower those receiving supervision o offer criticism in a constructive manner o understand employment and labor laws - Understanding of child growth and development This list of essential functions is not intended to be exhaustive.
